Today was a little bit different when it comes to penmanship, I barely even picked up a pen.
As I mentioned before, I’ve been looking for a good oblique pen holder that works well for me. I haven’t been completely satisfied with any of the ones that I’ve tried, so I decided to learn how to make the perfect pen myself.
I left home around 7 a.m. this morning for a woodworking class in Tucson. It was a seven hour class called “Introduction to the Lathe”
I spent most of my day learning how to turn wood on the lathe and even came away with a project I made myself, a hardwood mallet made of bloodwood.
I can tell you, I am a lot better woodworker than penman, but I’m not giving up on my penmanship, just adding a new skill to it.
When I got home, I ordered a lathe so I can turn my garage into a pen making shop.
