It arrived! A week and a half ago I mentioned that I ordered a hand made wooden oblique dip pen holder on Etsy. It arrived in the mail so I used it for today’s practice.
I’ve got to be honest, I love that it’s hand made, but the quality isn’t great. The clear finish on it has quite a few thick spots which cause little bumps. I thought it would be nice to get a pen holder with a nut and bolt so I could adjust the angle of the nib, but having the extra width makes it too large to fit into any of my ink bottles. And finally, the way it is cut, I have to hold this holder higher up on the holder than my other oblique holder which makes it feel awkward in my hand and more difficult to control.
I love the idea of a custom made pen holder, but this one comes up short in my book.
